It is faith Friday here at ABC. And we're very excited for our next guest. He is a Detroit based pastor recently elected as the presueding bishop of the church of god and Christ not only is it the largest pentacostal denomination in the country but also includes over 6.5 million members worldwide. Please welcome bishop J. Drew sheared. Thank you so much for being with us, bishop. Wow, you were a former math teacher in the Detroit public school system. Now you're leading 6.5 million followers? I mean, how do you take on something like that? What is Yo plan of action? Our church is a church. We want to inspire people to live better lives, to experience what god would have for them to do and be successful at leading a Christian nation to getting back to god. The that is our main objective. And a lot of people find god in music. You come from a musical family. We should point out that your wife Karen is part of the Clark sisters. Your daughter is grammy nominated singer who we recently had the pleasure of having here on gma 3. Can you talk a little butt about how music strengthens you and your faith and in your family? Well, muse sick a part of probably everybody's life. But because of my connection to my church and my wife and I connection to the church, we have always loved to be part of this inspirational music. So my house probably is one of the houses that you would drive down the street and see it swelling because of the music going on. But it is such an inspiration. And my mother-in-law used to always talk about putting the word in, the word of god in the so that is what we're all about. And we praise god for the opportunity to minister through music as well. I know you have the power of the spoken word. Do you have musical talent? Do you play an instrument? Do you sing? Okay. I used to play the drums. I sing a little bit. But nothing like my wife and daughter. Well, as I mentioned, you can speak though and can you inspire through your words. So we always ask our guests here on faith Friday, we're always so excited about this segment. It really starts the weekend off right to feel your power and to know that we are -- we all can be inspired by what you have to say. Leave us with some words of wisdom, words of inspiration, we would certainly appreciate it. Well, thank you for that opportunity. Lus en, we're living in a day and time when everything is going crazy around us. But one thing you have to remember is that god never changes. And since god never changes, he's going to infuse us to go into our future and continue to be victorious. Hang on to god and god is going to bless you. I love that. Bishop, we really appreciate your words of wisdom and we appreciate your time today. Thank you so much. Please say hello to your beautiful family for us. Thank you so much for having All right.
