Republicans are wasting no time here eager to push past all of the in-fighting ahead of the midterm elections so this morning once again in just a few moments they will huddle behind closed doors, just 48 hours after pushing congresswoman Liz Cheney out of leadership today they will choose her replacement and this is a position that is all about messaging so even though the front-runner Elise Stefanik's record is less conservative than Liz Cheney's, her message is more aligned with Donald Trump and voted to overturn the 2020 election results. She does have his endorsement. Still some Republicans are questioning whether or not her record is conservative enough so now one of the most conservative members of the house congressman chip Roy will challenge her but considered a long shot bid.
