And now a remarkable discovery just in time for Christmas. In Israel, excavating ruins, they believe this is the place where Jesus Christ taught and preached. Lama Hasan has more in London. Reporter: Good morning. Yes, just in time for Christmas. Archaeologists are calling the discover discovery a miracle. An extraordinary holy site straight from the gospel. Given the age and the history, they believe it was likely Jesus was teaching there. This morning in the ancient town of magela, what could be a ground-breaking and historic secret finally unearthed. The catholic organization which owns the site now claiming Jesus himself may have preached in this first century synagogue, teaching his devoted disciples, including Mary Magdalene. This was her home town, it is believed, and it's believed Jesus was in this area for three quarters of his life. Jesus was traveling many times with the boat, with the fishermen. If for sure I think he taught in the synagogue. Reporter: It was first discovered in 2009 when crews began excavating the site with plans to build a hotel. Five years and a treasure-trove of discoveries later, they're convinced that Jesus taught here. Among those historic treasures, a main hall with an elaborate mosaic floor.
