Topping our "Heat index," one blogger embracing her body. She decided to wear a bikini to the beach and post photos on Facebook and at the same time inspire thousands. ABC's Mara schiavocampo has her story. Reporter: The bikini body. Often showcased as super tiny and toned. But author and blogger jenny trout decided she didn't need to be a size 2 to wear a two-piece. Doing this was really a big leap for me. Reporter: It all started in January when the 33-year-old Michigan mom made a new year's resolution to quote wear a bikini. This isn't a weight loss goal because I don't intend to lose weight to achieve it and achieve it, she did breaking out this floral two-piece on a trip to lake superior last month. I thought that this would be a good way to show people that it's not as scary as it sounds. Look, if I can do it, you can too. Reporter: In a article for "The Huffington post" she told how many tried to discourage her writing "The reason these people do not want to see a fat body in a bikini is because traditionally that garment is something a woman earns by proving herself attractive enough to exist." That got an unexpected wave of support liked more than 300,000 times on Facebook many leaving comments saying "She looks fantastic." "She's beautiful" and good good for her." One woman posting "Fat isn't just a look, it's unhealthy". We live in a culture that is very judgmental about the size of people's bodies. When someone like jenny says, wait a second, I can wear a bikini if I want to, it sparks a lot of debate. Reporter: This isn't the first time a small suit has gotten big attention. Last year plus size fashion blogger gabby Greg partnered with a swimtut retailer to create the so-called fatkini that sold out in two days. I wanted to design them as young and fresh. Reporter: Trout says she hopes her experience is inspiring. I can help somebody push the limit. I would -- that would be the best thing in the world. Reporter: Encouraging others to make their own flash. For "Good morning America," Mara schiavocampo, ABC news, new York. Good for her. A lot of people.
