Transcript for Couple get married in torrential rain
We've heard a lot about the royal wedding this weekend. Tonight, the story of another American bride. When a big storm rolled through the big easy this weekend, rain, hail, and wind flooding the French quarter, where Catherine Scott and SHAWN Dunham were expecting to be married. It was basically like a monsoon. Reporter: It got so bad, the preservation hall took on some water. Right at the time of the ceremony was when it was at its worst. Reporter: Then, a minor flooding hazard dramatically changed the choreography of the wedding. The groomsmen lifting the bride over the water so they could be married. Now, finally dancing together. I had the man, and that's all that matters in the end. Reporter: Catherine and SHAWN had planned for a low-key wedding. Instead, getting a memory they and telling us they know they can weather all challenges together. The irony of planning a small wedding, then for it to be on the news is kind of insane. Prince Harry and Meghan don't have anything on us. We thank them for sharing that moment. I'm Tom llamas in New York.
