Transcript for High school drama club gets high marks for 'Alien' musical
Finally tonight, the high school play getting out of this world reviews, even from sigourney weaver. Here's David Wright. Reporter: Not your typical high school musical this year in north Bergen, New Jersey. Instead, the drama club decided to recreate one of the scariest movies of all time, Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic "Alien." They made all of the props and costumes themselves on a shoestring budget. The tail was made of a hula hoop. You can kind of see it there. Come on. Reporter: They did such a good job, director Ridley Scott sent them a thank you letter and sigourney weaver's mind was blown. She reached out, too. It looked incredible. You put so much heart and soul into that, and I must say the alien looked very real. It's so surreal. Everything. All of this. It's just mind-boggling. Reporter: Hard to believe it, but the original "Alien" is celebrating 40 years. Just one more thing. The alien might still be around. So, when you open your locker, just do it very slowly. Reporter: David Wright, ABC news, New York. Be careful. Thanks for watching tonight. I'm Cecilia Vega. For David and all of us here, have a great weekend.
