The little league world series kicking off with no shortage of emotional stories. Young sluggers try to make their dreams come true. ABC's Adrienne Bankert is back with us. I like this one. Good morning. You know what this is cool. As American as apple pie are the stories of dreamers, overcomers and family. Driven deep to right center field. Forget about it. Reporter: With the 73rd little league world series in full swing -- First pitch, rips it. Reporter: -- It was definitely a family affair for coach Greg bloom, his son Dylan at bat and his wife Jennifer in the stands. It was this moment that was a long time coming as Dylan scores the team's first run. Dylan is safe at home. How about that mom? This is why I'm here. Reporter: The mother of three fighting back tears after her battle this year with leukemia. Just days ago she received the okay from her doctors to be at the minnesota/kentucky game in Pennsylvania. I wouldn't miss this for the world. Reporter: Dad and son Dylan excited. I was really happy she could come. I could hear her cheering. Reporter: Another big cheer from Maddie frecking the first girl to play in the world series since Monet Davis shocked the world. She's only the 19th girl to play in series history. The teams are getting major league love from the pros. As a former member of the little league, I want to wish you guys congratulations on making it to the little league world series. Keep working hard and having fun. We have to thank ESPN's Julie foudy for that touching interview with Jennifer who celebrated her son's win and a wedding anniversary with her husband, coach Greg.
