Did you know it's national pumpkin day? Yes, it's in my calendar. Yes. Take a look at some of our younger members. This is our "Gma" family, some of the kids of our staff and crew here picking pumpkins in time for Halloween, which is just five -- there they are. Cute little pictures there. Just five days away, Dan. I'm well aware with a 4-year-old around the house. For our easy eats segment this morning, we're going to use those leftover pumpkin seeds to make a healthy snack. Here to show us how to, Lena Abraham, the assistant food editor at delish.com. Hi. Hello. Good morning. We're in descending height order. Yeah, we are. So, what is it about pumpkin seeds that make them perfect for this segment "Easy eats"? Well, if you're already carving a pumpkin, obviously the pumpkin seeds are covered, and then you just need to add four or five simple ingredients you have in your pantry, roast them and they're super delicious. Let's get to the first recipe here. You're kind of doubling down on the pumpkin seeds here. This is maple pumpkin spice pumpkin seeds. Yeah, it's a mouthful. Did I get that correct. Correct. Yeah, so I've actually in advance roasted these in butter and some pumpkin spice. If you want to dump them into the mixing bowl and then -- Put you to work, Dan. Here we go. Then we're adding that little bowl of maple syrup and a pinch of salt. And then we're just going to roast these for like 20 minutes more until they're nice and crisp and caramelized, and that's what they'll look like. Easy actually. Super easy. Can we sample them? Oh, please. Yeah? Please. What's the next one over here? So, this next one is rosemary garlic, and we're just mixing raw seeds with olive oil. Sure, yeah. I started eating and lost track. Working on the last one, and then we've got olive oil, yeah, in the little bowl then garlic powder, some chopped fresh rosemary and then a pinch of salt and pepper, and we're roasting those at 325 for about 33, 35 minutes just giving them a toss and as soon as they're golden. Doing a really good job. Strong work, pal. Some of these have your name on them. All right. Let's move on to the third one here. I'm going to eat them as we go. One quick question -- and Dan can actually eat these. He's vegan and can eat the pumpkin seeds. These are healthy? Yeah, lots of protein, lots of omega threes, great for you. What do we got, number three here? Number three is a taco lime. And it is raw seeds -- I'll go to work here. Put them in? Yeah. And then that taco seasoning in the bowl, olive oil and a punch of salt. And then I'm going to come through -- oh, beautiful. Look at that, whit. The flavor. Salt Bae. Style points. Okay. Then I'm just going to pop in, and this is just our finishing touch, just a little bit of lime zest on. Perfect. I want to thank you for doing this.
