Everybody came around here. Reporter: Carrie's grandmother opened it as in '57 then became a southern comfort hot spot in the early '70s. People love the fried chicken and macaroni, the Mac and cheese. Reporter: The pandemic isn't the first storm they've weathered. 15 years ago Willie Mae's bounced back after hurricane We lost 80% of her business. Huge difference from table service to take-out. Water with a little bit of vegetable oil, say about, you know, two tablespoons, kind of want it to be tender, but not overcooked. Reporter: Add two kinds of cheese, evaporated milk, butter and spices. Add the cream and a little bit of flour.
