Transcript for ‘High School Musical’ stars share details about new season
But he could have been Ray's son. Not to be like your stereotypical second semester senior, but I'm starting to realize that every day is, like, the last time I'm going to do doing stuff with you guys. That's actually really sweet. It's weird you literally look so young to me now. Oh, I'm growing a beard. Oh. I thought that was dirt on your face. I might grow it out, depends on what musical we're doing. Snarky teens. Who doesn't love watching that? I know. That was a brand new clip from the hit show "High school musical: The musical: The series" which returns for the second season. It happens this Friday. We'll bring in three stars of the show, Matt cornett, Julia Lester, and mark St. Cyr. Thank you all for being with us. Let me see, clean shaven how is the beard thing going? Clean shaven. Funny enough that beard in episode one is fake. It was all itchy glued real hair they chopped up and glued to my face. Are you telling me you can't really grow a beard? No, I can. That's the thing. I think it was just -- I think it was just a lot easier for, like, continuity purposes to, like, glue it on. So, you know. I'm a man, I can grow a beard, okay. Puts bass in his voice when he says that. We believe you. We believe you. Julia, it's safe to say season one blew up everywhere, my daughters are teenagers they loved the show. You all did a holiday special, and now your co-star, Olivia Rodrigo is the musical guest on "Saturday night live" this weekend. Everything is coming up roses for you guys. What can we expect this season? Oh my goodness, I think the main theme of season two is more, more, more. It's been really fun kind of teasing how we keep the same heart and soul of season one, but there's so much more than been amplified with the music and the dancing and the story line, there's a riflery this season so we can expect more just in all areas and I'm really excited for it. Mark, what can you tell us, please don't take this the wrong way, but you're a young guy, but you're the old guy onset in a lot of ways and a lot of the actors are in their 20s. You're 33, I believe it is, and you play a teacher and you're all supposed to be -- you're around all teenagers. What's the dynamic onset for you? It's a fun, young dynamic like you expect. The young actors keep me on my toes, they keep me inspired, but we have a great time. Everyone is peers, equal on the show. I feel grateful to go to a show that has so much exciting youthful energy on it because it keeps me feeling excited and youthful. All right. Mark, Julia, Matt, it's an pleasure. This show is doing gang busters, congratulations on once again, season 2. We'll see you all down the road. All right? Thank you so much. Thank you. Season two of "High school musical: The musical: The series" airs tomorrow. That's fun to say, right? I like saying it.
