Transcript for Lauren Cohan previews new ‘The Walking Dead’ episodes
Welcome back to "Gma3," our next guest plays Maddie green, you know that name from AMC's smash hit "The walking dead," one of the most watched drama series in TV history and the fans get excited. The show is returning with six new episodes this Sunday on AMC. Take a look. I almost came home after Knoxville, maybe I should have, maybe I should have -- Why didn't you? Took a detour. My Nana had this place by the ocean. We talked about going there. Not forever. Just for a little while. We never did. I was the one that requested we had a clip with no walkers in it. Okay, so, that was me. Please welcome Lauren Cohan. Hey, good to see you, how are you this fine day? I'm good, T.J., how are you? I love that you requested a walker-free clip. I did. I have some live walker issues. I've had them for years. But this is six new episodes. This is like bonus episodes people are getting. How did this come about that people are actually about to get some six extra episodes that we didn't initially anticipate. We were so excited to get into season 11 and bring that to everybody and obviously covid and our producers figured out a delayed production for everyone and our producers figured out a way to write these more sort of contained but still very intense episodes. You come up on this last season, this 11th season, can you imagine your life without this show? It's so difficult to separate yourself from something that has been so seminal in your career and your friendships and your family and you know, when you have been a part of something for a pretty long time and you live it, it's surreal, and none of us have been able to conceive of the end it, and we try not to because it is quite sentimental and emotional and so many people have been here since the be beginning. We look forward to when you can come back to our "Gma" studios and we've had you here in years past people have followed you, and take care, all right. Thanks for having me. "Walking dead" Sunday on AMC and the first episode available now on "AMC plus."
