Thousands flock to Chile for rare glimpse at total solar eclipse

The moon's shadow swept along a nearly 7,000-mile path across the Pacific Ocean and hit the coast of Chile at 4:38 p.m. local time, plunging everyone there into darkness for nearly three minutes.
