Let's go to our drone so you can get an idea of how many people are here this morning. Just waiting for food. They have been out here for hours and the organizers tell me they should be able to feed about 4,000 very grateful people ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Feeding south Florida and the parent organization feeding America say they've distributed more than 4 billion meals since the beginning of the pandemic and the need is only growing. They tell us that about 40% of the people now relying on food banks never had to go through any kind of food charity before and they are concerned they won't be able to continue meeting this skyrocketing demand. Feeding south Florida tells us they're only getting about 10% of the food they used to get compared to what they had in March and it's a real problem here, Cecilia, because pretty soon the food bank fund will go essentially be slashed in half and millions are still desperately in need.
