We're going to turn to the gadgets right now, as robin said. We're at home right now. This on tape. I'm probably unwrapping some of these gadgets. You're going to need what becky worley is about to tell us about the big tech gifts this year, tablets and smartphones. And what to do with them once you get them out of the box. Here she is. Reporter: Yeah. Oh. Awesome. If you were lucky enough to get a -- no. Consider yourself warned. These things do drop. And, yes, the screen shatters. One study says one-quarter of all iphones have cracked screens. You're thinking you need a case. Sometimes you get one too bulky. And then, you don't use it. But what protects the screen and is totally unobtrusive? Well, this. A screen protector. I even climbed up on my roof with two phones. One as a screen protector. The other doesn't. But buying at itunes and the google play store can cost a ton. So, buy gift cards for these app stores at costco. They're not always there. But keep an eye out. It's the only place where you can get them from 15% to 20% off. Now, reselling your old gadgets. You have a shiny, new phone. You take the old one and throw it in a drawer. But hold on a second. It's only losing value when it's in the drawer. FROM MY RESEARCH, eBAY GIVES YOU The best price. But a no-hassle trade-in service, like gazelle, next store or cexchange, can give you a nice chunk of change. For "good morning america," becky worley, oakland, california. You can get more of becky's tricks on goodmorningamerica.Com on yahoo! Now, ginger's here. You have christmas weather
