And it seems like the diner has become something of a shrine this morning. Reporter: That's right, george. We're at holsten's in new jersey. Folks have been coming here all night to pay tribute to gandolfini. The owner put up a reserved sign here saying that gandolfini will always have a seat at this restaurant. And look at "the star ledger," the paper that gandolfini read every day, calling him a new jersey icon. Let's look at what some of his friends from "the sopranos" are saying this morning. David chase said this. He was a genius. Anyone who saw him, even in the smallest of his performances, knows that. A great deal of that genius right sided in those sad eyes. And another actor from the show, steven van zandt said this. I've lost a brother and a best friend. The world has lost one of the greatest actors of all-time. So many people will be coming here, taking photos of this booth. For now, it's shut down.
