Transcript for Many questions left unanswered about access to testing for COVID-19
And C joins us now live in Atlanta's team can you explain the disconnect between what the administration is saying and what medical professionals are saying. Well the administration is saying that there's a test for whoever needs one that there are millions of tests that are headed out to the states but state health authorities tell us that there is a run on tests that they don't have enough test. That that is absolutely not true it's an entirely different story that we're hearing from state health officials and they're having to come up ways. I'll be getting tests on their home in New York State for example has decided that they're going to turn to private labs to produce and process. Their task they're not waiting for the administration or for authorities here at the CDC to meet their needs. One thing that we're hearing from state health authorities. Is that there is this additional problem and that is the processing of text of the test not just getting them but actually processing them that. There aren't enough people labs or resource is to process the large number of tests that they are expecting. To comment Ali is an additional complications Steve Nelson sunny for us we appreciate that.
