Many returning home to find here's Marci Gonzalez. Reporter: Tonight, the destruction left behind from those ferocious California wildfires coming into focus. Powerful winds blowing burning embers into houses. Firefighters doing all they could to keep those flames from spreading. But there were dozens of homes they could not save, including Monica and drew silver's. I wish they would have been here earlier to save mine. It's not their fault. They are fighting the fires where they are fighting them. But it was pretty crazy how fast it came. Reporter: Those fast-moving flames here in Los Angeles county, destroying nearly 8,000 acres and nearly everything the silvers owned. Their wedding rings, children's keepsakes, and their entire photography business. All of the props. All of the equipment, everything, we don't have a place to work. Reporter: Tonight, with all evacuation orders lifted, and thousands returning home, the silvers say they feel lucky. The stuff doesn't matter.
