Finally tonight, "World news" always looking to celebrate a little American ingenuity. We showed you the gopro a while Barack. And it's now worth 4 billion. Why didn't we think of that. Matt Gutman tonight. Reporter: Gopro, the tiny camera that took us to outer space -- and into the smile of babes -- going pro itself today on the stock market. Found nick woodman there to launch the biggest consumer electronics I.P.O. In more than a decade. Woodman, a lifetime surfer, started the company for a simple reason -- to capture his buddies riding the waves. The genius of his American invention, the hands-free camera can be mounted onto virtually anything. Capturing the unexpected. A cyclist's collision. And the impossible flight of the birdmen. In just five years, his company going from guppy to goliath, in 2013 selling nearly a billion bucks worth of the matchbook sized cameras. Woodman shared his secret when we went surfing with him in Nicaragua. Our customers buying the gopro and going out and capturing interesting footage with it and sharing it online is what is driving gopro's growth.
