Next to the severe storms at this hour thunderstorm and flash flood watch is in the mid Atlantic right now while we're on the year. Storm clouds rolling in over Washington DC up to six inches of rain possible. Also we are watching tropical storm Matthew just forming in the Caribbean heavy rain already where's that at it. Let's get right to meteorologist rob Marciano tracking it all be getting with a storm right here in the east tonight rob. Hey David it's a big one it's really and in fact the entire northeast quarter of the country. For the next few days check it out on the radar center over Indiana but it's spinning. Heavy showers and storms across the mid Atlantic and we've got a severe thunderstorm watch up there until 10 o'clock in a flash flood watch. That includes DC and Baltimore through at least Friday could see five inches or more of rain there. And here is tropical storm Matthew nearly a hurricane as it enters the Caribbean forecasters. To head west and then make a right turn north as a hurricane packing Jamaica and Cuba potentially. The US next week waits easterners say when. Or where.
