Finally tonight, Texas strong. The neighbors coming together amid historic winter storms and their inspirational acts of kindness. Reporter: The arctic blast in Texas this week wreaking havoc on millions. Whoa. Reporter: Yet despite personal loss and devastation, residents of that big state proving they have big hearts, too. Look at all this water. Reporter: After losing power in his Houston home, Raymond Garcia spent the day going door-to-door fixing his neighbors' broken pipes. Just trying to help the Houston community. If I can help anybody else in my close range, I will. Reporter: Just last week, Garcia lost his mother to covid-19, saying she inspired him. My mom always taught me if you help and you give to people, god will always bless you. And you know what? I've been blessed. Reporter: Many desperate for basic essentials. In Waco, meals on wheels volunteer nieko Adkinson braving icy conditions, determined to deliver hot food to neighbors in need. One of them were without I have to get them something hot and make sure they're okay. Reporter: In the small town of marlin, Texas, the nearly 7,000 residents lost power and water around the same time. The water plant suffering serious damage from the freezing temperatures, but people stepped up to lend a hand. We put out a call. We actually asked for about eight healthy bodies, and we got 20. Reporter: Lifting those replacement parts and lifting spirits, helping the water flow in marlin once again. We band together to do what we got to do, and that's why marlin, little old marlin, continues to be marlin strong. Marlin strong.
