anybody taking Uber. A Dallas woman paralyzed from the chest down in an accident claims her Uber driver was uninsured. Here is Marcy Gonzalez. Reporter: It wases a crash that changed her life. Leaving her a parapalegic. And she says the car service is to to blame. Many people trust Uber and they have no idea who they are getting in the car with. Reporter: They are suing Uber for what happened on that November night in Dallas in 2014. The Uber she and friends were riding in ran a red light, collided with a truck, flipped and landed on its roof. I had my seat belt on. I was flipped upside down and I remember just hanging there. I remember my friends all screaming. Reporter: Though the Uber driver was not charged in the crash, the family's lawyers questions why the company allowed him behind the wheel. The lawsuit alleges he faced criminal charges, running a gambling den and drug charges. All of which were later dismissed. The lawsuit claims the vehicle was owned by someone else and was uninsured. They that have not allowed them to drive under Uber's name because passengers who get in those cars assume they're safe and they're not.
