Now we're gonna turn to the teachers who were on strike this morning. And one of the largest school district in the country hundreds about what Chicago students are home. At their teachers walked the picket line demanding better pay and smaller classes out for a joins us now from Chicago good morning out. Hey good morning Michael the strike officially began at midnight classes had been preemptively. Canceled today some 25000. Teachers. Will be heading to the picket lines now a lot of these teachers have been protesting for weeks or both sides. Seem to have agreed on salaries but some of the main sticking points right now. Involved classroom size and the number of support staff available to the teachers are so this strike means. No school for some 300000. Students in the school system. Now school buildings will be open and the serving meals for those students who have nowhere to go contract negotiations. Our ongoing George helping community do mean quickly for those kids.
