Reporter: This is 1 of 10 homes that burned in the fire south of Spokane. The washer and dry sir really the only thing you can make out. This morning, across the west, scenes like this far too common. Overnight, wildfires flaring up across parts of the west. In California, six fires burning across the state. 10,000 firefighters working around the clock. Hundreds of homes destroyed. Sad. Just want to help. Reporter: On California's central coast, a 52 square mile blaze forcing thousands to evacuate. 34 homes burned to the ground along with 14 other structures. Gone up in flames. It's a gut-wrencher. It hurts. Reporter: In Washington state, several fires have burned more than a dozen homes. We went to find firefighters on the front line, working hard to make sure that number doesn't go up. We're on the fire line. The flames are moving down the hill, toward this house. Right down here, you can see, a line of firefighters hoping to protect that house and keep it from burning down. This morning, crews are working to contain at least seven fast-moving wild first wreaking havoc throughout the state.
