Transcript for Behind the Scenes of DNC Balloon Drop
That big moment from the republican national convention, the big balloon drop and hours away from the democrats' big sell brake and T.J. Holmes is way up there, so close to the balloons. Hey, T.J. Hey, guy, good morning to you. This really, this has become some of the most memorable iconic and anticipated moments of any convention, the balloon drop and these balloons, I'm up here pretty much eye level with them, they have been patiently waiting for their moment which will come tonight. We got 100,000 balloons up here. Donald Trump had 125,000 so he's at least won the balloon race. But tonight is their big moment but, remember, Hillary Clinton is about to get something tonight that Barack Obama never did, a balloon drop. He did not have one in 2008 because it was outside and in 2012 he was supposed to be outside, moved inside but didn't have time for balloons so democrats haven't had a balloon drop since 2004 and that was a disaster. Balloons, what's happening, there's not enough coming down. All balloons. Nothing is falling. Yeah, you guys remember that. You heard the voice there of the director screaming, give me balloons. Give me balloons and they never came so they're hoping they don't have a repeat of that but already you guys remember earlier this week they had a few balloons kind of escape earlier this week so we'll see and hope it goes well, but I'm up here, I've been with you all week. This is it for me. I thought I'd end on a high note literally if you will. So, guys -- Great job both weeks, T.J. Appreciate you guys. It's been a pleasure.
