Transcript for A ‘White Christmas’ May Be Reality for Some
So much snow out west. Look who's taking a break from Christmas prep. Not us. I was about to reenact it for you. Rob, that's Santa Claus. It is, but with technology today, he's able to take a quick break. Ahead of schedule, happy to report. He will be busy, and he will have a strong jet stream to ride in on. That jet stream is bringing three storms that are going to come together, one, two, three. They are going to collide and strengthen through time here. As that happens, we have a couple of concerns. Namely, severe weather and heavy rain across the south. Gulf of Mexico moisture. You know what happens when that happens this time of year. It's up to Atlanta, I-95, a wet go. Well, today, yes, and especially tomorrow. And even this morning, there are some pockets of frozen precipitation. And the backside of this, there will be snow in places like Chicago. The question is will it stick and give you a white Christmas? Might be enough to make it festive. The travel is a headache. And more specifically today, the severe threat there as well, from New Orleans to Jackson, mobile, Tallahassee to the I-10 corridor. Strong thunderstorms, isolated tornados. Watching it throughout the day today and the travel weather through tomorrow.
