Reporter: And it's why this slobbery, emotional scene which played out in Chicago today -- Oh so cute! Reporter: Went instantly viral. The driver was armed with a blue steel handgun and went southwest on Milwaukee. Reporter: It started when the pups were dognapped on Wednesday. The van, meant to take them home from a doggy day care center, stolen at gun point. I was shocked. To hear it. I was so surprised that someone would take a van full of little dogs. I just want my dog back. Reporter: Their owners worried sick. A big concern is that it's going to be so cold. I'm really worried she may not survive the night. Reporter: Today all seven dogs were found in the parked van, shivering but otherwise unhurt. I was afraid she wasn't going to make it through the night. I'm so grateful. That she's back. They didn't hurt them and we're all getting our dogs back. So there's still good in the world. Reporter: Police still haven't caught the dognappers. But for these folks it is a happy ending. Wagging tails and wide smiles say it all. It's going to be like this probably the rest of the day.
