Save money on summer vacation flights here are some simple do's and don'ts to help you get there. This is Rick -- -- for ABC news. Do you shop for airfare on Tuesday's. Tuesdays at 3 PM eastern time to be exact that -- -- -- the most deals to choose from. Don't shop too early for domestic travel. If you buy your tickets more than three months prior departure you're probably paying too much and for international travel you can start shopping about five months before you head out. Don't shop too late -- -- domestic tickets at least three weeks before departure for international travel about a month and a half before you head out. Do be flexible flying on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Saturdays will help you save money -- historically the cheapest days to fly. Don't be picky. Nonstop flights and small regional airports can be more expensive -- connecting flights and those big hub airports. Compare routes and airports and you could save a lot of cash. Finally do you travel with only carry on when possible avoid expensive bag fees and the potential loss back. Plus no waiting at the baggage carousel you can just -- right out of the airport and let this summer fun begin.
