Transcript for Vandalism of mom's car prompts hate crime investigation
It is with that being here that just a few days ago was just covered in spray paint and the neighbors are actually all very relieved that it's taken off because. There was some nasty stuff written here but that was not the only damage can walk over here in this car. This is a lot tougher to get away. Smoke damage on this window and an inside. Something was lit on fire. This car was told the pictures too offensive to show clearly on camera. Especially the racist language targeting African Americans. Amanda Miller though is white just like the rest of her family. Including your fourteen year old daughter Rihanna. I've always tried instill in her you know be friends with news it's good to you. IQ is good teams make sure that Yunnan it doesn't matter what color somebody is it doesn't matter what race they are. Rihanna heeding that advice and dating a young black man she met in church. That's why her mother thinks vandals came to their house and attacked their property. A major heart sink. It is sad is awful it makes you feel like Omar got somebody has its much anger what's next. Thankfully Rihanna hasn't been home to see this firsthand. Her mom says she's visiting family in Florida. When she returns though her first stop will be at the sheriff's office where Miller expects detectives to search debris on his phone and social media accounts for clues. I want her to hide who she is I want her to have a normal life like everybody else hats and I feel like this is getting. Kind of put her in a box where she feels like she keen to get out of. In addition to speaking with the deputies and investigators in Wayne county the Miller family Telus they're also planning to speak with school administrators here. They still have some security concerns. Even if they think it's probably best for Rihanna to go back to school. Ingles wrote on a cap and ABC eleven Eyewitness News.
