We've learned overnight the identities of the the seven Marines killed this week in a training exercise the shock of their -- being made worse by their youth ABC's Devin -- now joining us from Washington with details -- Good morning John -- -- that's -- what's so remarkable and horribly sad about this whole story. It's how young these men were six at the Marines -- were killed or in their twenties all we're younger than 26. One of them as you mentioned earlier was just nineteen years old and even at those ages six of the seven men had already served tours of duty in Afghanistan. Of course as -- reported this week the men were killed Monday night during a live fire training exercise at a military facility in Nevada they were all based at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Eight of the others involved in the training exercise were injured. The remains of those being killed are now being flown back to their families -- the Marines investigate just what -- wrong. The mother of one of the victims told us Mason -- work could hardly contain herself with grief. -- just doing it -- but it is true. Not only defend but my best friend -- -- hero. Could never be -- being replaced. Now the Marines say they've suspended most use of the mortar system that caused the malfunction here and caused the explosion. -- they will continue to use it in Afghanistan -- and John. -- -- and thank you -- us to all of us from Washington appreciated this morning.
