We turn to a police arrest playing out on Facebook live. Questions whether Buffalo police used the right tactic. An officer using a police cruiser to ram a suspect allegedly armed with a knife. ABC's Lindsey Davis picks up the story from here. Reporter: After this was posted on Facebook live of a police officer plowing into a man with his SUV. Watch again, and first the SUV reverses and then accelerates forward. The man tries to run away but is rammed by the SUV. It happened in Buffalo, new York. Sheila Woodard shot the video. I thought they were going to either tase him, tackle him -- Reporter: The attorney for the police officers says there was another officer who we don't see in the video, whose life was being threatened by the suspect who was holding a 12-inch butcher knife. The officer perceived a risk, and sure was unorthodox because there are always other options, but the Buffalo at least as of when this happened, does not carry tasers. Reporter: Police say the man displayed suicidal tendencies. Buffalo police have not identified any of the people involved. The police officer remains on the job.
