We have an update now on the nationwide search for a man authorities were called armed and dangerous. An armored truck driver charged with taking off with the money inside his truck. ABC's Brandi Hitt with the new developments. Reporter: A three-day man hunt for Trent Michael cook coming to an end tonight. The 24-year-old wanted for first degree felony theft, arrested in Colorado following a mysterious robbery 350 miles away in Amarillo, Texas. On Monday, cook's armored truck was found abandoned in this vacant lot, the engine running. Contents worth $200,000 gone, with no sign of forced entry. At first, Amarillo police thought cook may have been robbed. His family pleading for his return. I really want you to just come home and be safe and sound no matter what happened. Reporter: But police now believe this was a well-planned heist. Cook switching cars at one point to this white van, also found abandoned. His father, arrested, too, for tampering with or fabricating evidence. The armored car was only gone 25 minutes before it was discovered gone. Reporter: Cook's family believes he's innocent. I just want to know that he's all right. Reporter: Amarillo police say a second person has also been taken into custody with cook.
