The city of brotherly love, electrified tonight. But as terry reported, much of the city on lockdown. Unprecedented security. Sharp shooters on rooftops. We took note of the many nuns and priests going through the metal detectors. But once inside, a massive crowd that saw the pope right past them, so many could almost reach out and touch him. That's where we find Cecelia Vega, in the crowd on this final night. Reporter: Good evening to you. This crowd may not have been able to to get very close. But one woman told me, just being here was enough. The city of brotherly love is in love with pope Francis. Thousands upon thousands of pilgrims packing the city center to bid him farewell. So many, they couldn't all make it in. This is what Philadelphia woke up to today. Fences around the center of the city. This is how you keep 1 million people and one pope safe. Security so intense, it took hours to pass through. The line stretching as far as the eye could see. Down, hetopp sed his driver to bless a disabled B with victims of sexual abuse, vowing to hold those responsible accountable. Saying that god weeps. We have coverage beginning with terry Moran. Traveling request with the pope. Reporter: He made his way through the streets of Philadelphia. The crowds thrilled but smaller than expected. Smothering security shut this city down.
