extreme weather tonight and to that fierce line of storms working its up the east coast tonight. Tornadoes in the south. Record rains and heavy snow as we come on the air. ABC's Linzie Janis with the pictures coming in. Reporter: Tonight a powerful spring storm, bringing strong winds, rain and destruction, in this Florida neighborhood, loose objects becoming missiles. A piece of plywood, shattering the rear window of this woman's car. It came off and it came into the house, into the roof, into the cars, quite a few cars were damaged. Reporter: Southeast of Orlando, a tornado sending debris flying through a window where a little girl was playing. A piece of shingle came right through the window. Reporter: Barrelling north, the system brought heavy know in Washington and torrential rain and flooding up the coast, creating this giant sinkhole outside of Boston. And 100-mile-per-hour winds toppled this major communications tower, knocking out cell phone service to more than 13,000 people in Massachusetts, and this week, another blast of, yes, winter, as blizzard conditions move into the northern plains, bringing up to a foot and a half of snow. And good news for those of us in the northeast the warmup is coming, here in New York City, it will be sunny and near 60 degrees by Tuesday.
