And trying to figure out what this might be sure you're taking their temperature with this you're getting a read and -- you're also seeing that nine other parents are dealing with similar symptoms in your area. Absolutely and you may even see that several of those people have strep throat which is gonna cause you to react in a very different way -- -- the common cold. Privacy because of -- -- we're so concerned about it for ourselves but for our children. -- a bigger deal. Absolutely so we're very conscious of that as -- people come out of the health care industry we've embraced the idea of privacy. So we don't take any personally identifiable information -- you're not even allowed to tell us your email address by -- This would also apply obviously for adults adults get -- as well and it's just something I mean I certainly am god when MD. In the past and looked out what my symptoms are this is the kind of thing that I could see. Being useful to me as well but. At the same time when you're really really sick how much of Reading on your phone or in putting an information on your phone you really wanted to have. It's true I mean -- that's the whole design experience behind us this user experience is very simple he simple taps. Make it easier to take it a temperature and we built some of those design parameters into the software so I think the best way to get a feel for -- to use. Really difficult things big challenges in front of getting off the ground what would you say has been the biggest challenge for you getting this off the -- You know finding the -- peoples always a challenge for us developing the technology was a bit of the challenge this is a FDA regulated product. See right up to get through that process which is off which is long you have -- have the money to be able to sustain through that process absolutely and you have to raise the money gets that's it owes her a few of the big challenges. But finding the right -- is always the right is it was always the biggest challenge refinery people things work. And -- the medical community they embracing what -- putting out there yeah. Yet they are they are very much embracing it we're really excited that there embracing -- -- some of the big luminaries -- health care and experts and tracking the spread of disease come out to support us but what I care about honestly Rebecca is more than the experts. Is the moms if they don't love the product and not going to be used. Everything that comes back to the consumer has to be -- consumer experience that people are gonna adopt otherwise. You know you can talk all you want about how great it is but if people aren't using it and using it easily. The problem. Absolutely huge problems so we're really trying to focus on -- making sure we add value parents so five years from now where anyone -- -- five years from now want to have millions of users five years from now I hope that will be able to track the spread of disease in real time. The first time in history and potentially stave off some major. Epidemics and problems the flu has had less of an impact on populations. And we want to be a source to health systems to the World Health Organization the US Centers for Disease Control to really -- suspicion of real time system to track the spread of disease. So it's called -- it is people -- on your website. It's dot cancer helped doc can't help that comes -- -- and making much thank you best wishes thank you. You're also looking at this for Brazil because traffic in Brazil already is a nightmare but -- -- -- World Cup and Olympics and it's gonna be even worse. Yeah I mean that particularly in Rio where we've been concentrating our next topic is -- well it's a growing city -- you're experiencing a lot of economic growth. But not only that infrastructure is changing so fast -- that they're building new roads they're taking down are they changing things in preparation for -- -- Consider keeping track in real time where you can go to NN has spent their very tricky for where this city. Right makes a lot of sense because again going back to people who are used to dealing with traditional apps that come. -- -- on their Smartphones. A lot of the time those are based on older maps what ways is doing is crowd sourcing the information so that. Every minute that there is -- new road or in new place to go -- as capturing that information. Exactly and really because we have so many people out on the road already just driving with the Asian. Then we can really getting -- sense of what's happening exactly right now that might be different from ten minutes ago or ten minutes from now. We should also mention not long ago ways was purchased by Google. About what are some of the future plans to working with Google. Well I think. In general ways has our own idea future plans and and definitely -- where we're doing in Brazil and reaching out to see how -- -- just saving each individual time how can begin to save. Time at the city and that I think is a really important part of how we look at. How are gonna actually. Try to reduce congestion around the world -- -- still haggling really huge problem. Get rid of traffic. Right get rid of traffic at its what ever I mean anybody was never -- traffic ever. Doesn't -- that proposition at. -- -- terms of user is and and but what of the big things also is not only are users saying where they are but they're saying who's among them. Where at the police are where there are accidents. What's in it for users. To actually go out and make that information available. So did you -- I think it everybody wants to help one another. Right at that at that client we -- and it's -- the world great but we want to be easy. That we -- it is easiest although it is basically just turn -- on dry and then anonymously we're collecting me yes street isn't times and and so. Literally just by using -- -- -- helping everyone else save time so that its -- is great and that the end of the day. People also know that if they're marking an accident there. And letting us now that's why I'm out there and someone else who did this -- -- and it's one of those things where. It we can't crowd sourcing and now -- -- anticipation. Is we all want to contribute to making something better as long as it's easy. -- an arc case that's if I tell -- where the accident is they're gonna tell you next time and we're all -- and. For families searching for jobs and company growth in America -- sharron -- is president and editor in chief at eight magazine. He studied thousands of companies to find the real story behind the data. They came up with a list of the best companies to work for an American air it's so nice to see you again but -- it's great to be on camera with -- -- -- it's been too long happy to see you at eight now. And you've done some really interesting research here about the truth behind the numbers what are -- found. What we found was that. But look at look at this that we we looked at a 100000 middle market companies in middle market is a kind of ignored portion of the economy is not the big enterprise companies and it's not there. Fast growing little app makers like -- -- health or even ways. It's sort of the heart of the economy where's the job creation really occurs where a lot of innovation occurs to. And what we found there we surveyed a 100000 companies in the sector the market was only one point 5% of them. Were able to grow year after year after year and it's those companies those companies with sustainable growth. In an account for an enormous amount of the job creation in the. Yes so what and a half percent of those medium size companies in this country are the ones that really generating the jobs for the country that's right that's the heart of the economy that's good. Engine of job creation in what many unifying traits or characteristics of these companies -- -- really interest and it wasn't. I mean you would think when you look at it that will. It's all technology companies or it's all service companies are some hot area economy but what you find is that those companies often don't sustain -- So we found was there was no. Geography there was no industry that explain it all it was really. Their attitude towards hiring -- attitudes towards their employees it was -- focus. On soft activates a focus on people. A focus on people which by the way I think a lot of people were listening to this are going to appreciate hearing that. Especially if they're working for a company that they feel like dump its focus on the people. Well that's right well those companies are probably leaving some money on the table because what we found was -- the companies that are the most generous are the most conscious about things like. Transparency. About taking care employees about. Being conscious of culture actually get a real return in terms of growth. So they -- doing better to anybody who -- -- hiring manager out there that companies that are doing the best in America right now. The once we're focusing on their employees they're focusing on the corporate culture. If you want to look as he did particularly well in America by having sustained growth year after year after year and we're looking back five years -- for five pretty tough years. In the economy. Then what uses exactly -- It's a pretty and that this is a surprised to -- here. Because -- you know you you talked companies all the time. And you assume it's going to be that sales were going gangbusters and yet we hear these words supply demand these economic terms. But at the end of the day and there's something else -- sounds like almost core value. So well that's true these companies pay a lot of potential that some. Let me give you an example short that's all right so. There was a company called CPO commerce it is -- and e-commerce site that sells power tools and it's based in Pasadena has distribution center in Georgia. They went through a kind of disruption that a lot of companies have -- change -- software platform and everything blew up inventory was piling up in the warehouse and customers are getting upset. It took them six months to get through this -- through this six months. There was absolutely no turn into what happened was that they were completely transparent with employees about what was going down to. You know the inventory pile -- down to the financials. And what that did was. It told employees -- -- the managers are not making this up they could see the numbers right there and also helped. Put more brainpower. On actually -- problems so people who are in the warehouse people who -- really. Kind of quiet at the interface with the problem. Could actually see how that translates of the numbers and could come up with solutions that would make the biggest difference. It's interesting because you mentioned six months. And in Wall Street's -- six months is an eternity because all of a sudden you're at the quarterly report. And if you're being honest and transparent and saying we're going to have some slow times. That's not what any trader wants to -- that's not what investors want -- -- that's right if you have to answer to Wall Street and you know the quarterly monster it's going to be very tough to do this kind of thing.
