Transcript for John Boyega explains how his super-secret 'Rise of Skywalker' script ended up on eBay
It looks like our director of security is from a galaxy far, far away this morning. The stormtroopers are taking over times square and so is one of the most incredible stars in the galaxy, he flew onto the big screen in "The force awiccans" now getting ready to wrap up the epic "Star wars" saga with "The rise of Skywalker." Give it up for John boyega. How you doing, mate? Good to see you, man. You know what, 22 days, the end is near, 22 days. 22 days. Until it's out there. We're excited. You were so excited for the end of this saga that you tweeted taking a well deserved break. Back on my ps4, dates, mum's food and procrastinating. Butting okay, I get all those things. If you're so busy you have time to go on date. Absolutely. I don't want to settle down with one date. I want a life. I'm excited about that but I have time to just live a bit now and that's something that I'm excited about. I'm sure when you're shooting these movies takes up all your -- We have reshoots. We have a whole bunch of stuff. It's a big commitment especially coming down here. I'm from London so I'm up in new York during the Christmas season. It's a big commitment but we love it. Last round. Man, J.J. Abrams was here Monday. Gave some breaking news. Oh. He said someone lost a script. Oh, wow. And the script ended up on Ebay. And Daisy Ridley was here and Daisy said it's not me. Daisy said it's not her. I'm curious. Whose script -- It was me. Oh. Wait, wait, wait. How did that happen? Let me tell you how this all went down. What happened was it was actually from my apartment. I was moving apartments and I left the script under my bed. I was just like you know what I'll leave it under my bed. When I wake up in the morning I'll take it and move but my boys came over and, you know, we started partying a little bit and then the script just -- it just stayed there. And then a few like weeks after, you know, cleaner comes in, finds the script and then puts it on Ebay for like 65 pounds so the person didn't know the true value, you know and I actually thought this is a great truant for the fans to read the movie before they see it. Maybe I'm on to something. You know what I mean. I'm sure that's exactly what J.J. Had in mind. Scary. I got calls from every -- even Mickey mouse called me, what did you do? But it all worked out. It all worked out. So do you know how the movie ends? You don't actually know how it's going to end. Currently I don't actually don't know because we shot several different things. I know we had reshoots, J.J., you know, added some changes so I'm curious. I think I watch the movie next week for the first time. Have you told anyone anything about the movie? Look, man, it's the last one, yes, I have. Yes, I have. Yes, I have. Yes, my best friend Asia, I told her. Boy boy stefon, I told him some stuff but he was working on the film so you saw everything but my best friend Asia, I said this is the last film, man. I don't have time too keep all this in me. I told her absolutely everything. Okay. So at like I'm your best friend and nobody else is here so tell me? We'll get there. What went through your mind when you first read the script. I just thought first of all how am I going to do all this. This is a lot of stunts. And when -- I always go straight to the stunts sometimes and get a little scared like I'm going to do all that? That's scary but then the ensemble cast, I was so excited to see we'll be back together. Back on a journey and I'm going to have my Daisy and I was excited. You do it and do it well from the first time you came. Thank you. And now, incredible, dude. Keep it up. Yeah, man. Check under the bed next time you move. See "Star wars: The rise of Skywalker" on December 20th. John boyega, everybody.
