Did you have any idea that the show would be as popular as it is and have such a profound impact? No. Reporter: Season one of the popular teen drama causing parents and schools to question the subject matter. There are concerns this show is glamorizing and romanticizing suicide. How does that sit with you. We set out specifically not to glamorize suicide. I think anyone who has seen the show knows very clearly that nothing we did made suicide look attractive. As many critics as we may have heard from we heard from many more who said thank you for doing it. Reporter: "Gma" visited the cast and crew on their Vallejo, California, set as they shot scenes for season two. Where are we going next. Monet's and grab a cup of Joe. The site of so many of our scenes. Reporter: Who could forget Hannah baker's 13 cassette tape. Saddle in. I'm about to show you the story of my life. Reporter: This season polaroid pictures will play a big part. You see clay trying to move on from the events and the aftermath of season one, try to go will of a Normal life. What will we learn about Hannah in season two. The Hannah you see in season one is different to how you see her in season two and a lot has to do with the way we see her through other people's eyes. Reporter: The new episodes are expected to be just as of Hannah's suicide and revelations from her tapes. The truth doesn't always make things right. Reporter: In season two, it's about healing for you. Yeah, it's her road to recovery and how she can move -- learn how to move on from her trauma and also help others around herself so you'll see her surround herself with friends and other survivors. When you were reading through season two's script for the wow moment -- Absolutely. There's a bunch in there. A bunch of them. This will be better than the first one. Reporter: For "Good morning America," Paula Faris, ABC news. Powerful, so take a look at this. Exclusive sneak peek of season two. You heard my story the way I wanted it to be told but there's always another side to every story. How do I know it's true? You know me, right? I thought I did. Then do the right thing.
