pressing medical questions you have for Dr. Ashton here. Up first here, this is not mine, but I've been on a lot of flights this week, how soon is it safe to take a flight after being fully vaccinated for covid-19? Well, it's not just taking a flight. It's just soon after the second dose of the vaccine can you do anything with a greater sense of safety, and that is two weeks. Now, remember, there's no official CDC travel guidelines for you should wait "X" amount of time, but they do say if you are two weeks post your second dose, that you no longer have to quarantine for domestic or international flights here in the U.S. Again, if you go to other countries, they have their own regulations, but I will tell you, having been on a flight recently, I feel infinitely safer having been vaccinated, masks still stay on, I'm not walking around the cabin, and there's good data about air circulation with the Hepa filters on commercial flights making it pretty safe.
