Julia Macfarlane in London. Thanks. 'Tis the season for giving and, of course, returning. Two-thirds of holiday shoppers return at least one item this holiday season and Becky Worley is back with the best deals for all of your exchanges. You say the return process actually should start at home. Why is that? Whit, whether it was bought in store or online, the best case is they give you free shipping. Now, if that doesn't work you may need to make a phone call, customer support, yeah, it's not pretty today. It was 20 minutes of wait time and that was like two weeks ago so it's going to be interesting today, tough. I used to speak to human beings. Talking about Amazon and has unique return options this year. Explain. Lots of options on how and where you can return. But they all start at amazon.com/returns so you can return in person at staffed Amazon locations so the close of the one to me is at the university near my house. Those walk-ins are shown on the return page and Amazon lockers by the seven-11. Amazon knows where I live and direct me to the closest location so let's move over to th options. You can go to U.P.S. Stores or the post office, also another shutter, U.P.S. Will also pick up if you're willing to pay extra and come to your doorstep. I checked on a small package. It was $6 extra. Totally worth it to avoid the post office. What about time limits? Yeah, some tech, some toys have very short windows or can't be returned if the box is open the at all. "Consumer reports" listed the stores with the tightest return window, app 14, Best Buy, 15 days and then sears, kmart, gamestop, forever 21, 30-day return window then you're toast. We talked about returns. What about gift cards? How do we make sure we get the most out of them? Reporter: You recipients, if it's at a retailer where you have a digital account or or video game site, even Starbucks, log in and redeem the card getting it tied to your account today. That way it can't be drained by a hacker if they have the number somehow or you lose the physical card, to big deal. If you plan to shop, consolidate purchases and kill the entire balance. When you leave $2.37, I forget about it and I lose the card. It's like giving the multibillion dollar company a hand youth. Finally if you don't think you'll use it, sell it today. Online. There are sites like raise, cardpool or gift card granny I love them. Ale's take a small percentage and sell it. If you don't it'll die in your desk drawer or wherever you jam stuff like that. Clothing is, is now the time to get that clothing? I've been telling you to wait for the sales. Release the hounds and use those gift card, gap, 50% off in store, Abercrombie, 40% to 50% off, Macy's and Nordstrom have big sales going on. Thanks so much. Appreciate it as always. A check for the forecast and rob Marciano. Good morning once again, rob. Thank you.
