Family members thanking those who went out to see what happened and save some of the children that survived this. They're convinced the murders are hired hit men by the drug cartels. This morning, a chilling look into the moments several relatives learned their loved ones in Mexico were not only in danger, but being killed. They ambushed the vehicle. Reporter: The audio messages come from a text thread on whatsapp provided to ABC. Relatives sharing information of the attack, the family says by a drug cartel that killed three mothers and six children. Dear god, everybody pray on, they just came and said my mom's suburban is blown occupy. Reporter: News that some survived including this baby named faith. This video shot after she was found in a car seat with a bullet hole. Christina's baby is alive. Praise god. We got faith. She is alive. Reporter: The messages detail how the family learned some kids were wounded and stranded after being shot. There's five kids sitting on the side of the road. We have the oldest boy of Dawna's with us. He will show us where they are. Reporter: That boy, 13-year-old Devin, he and his 9-year-old sister Mackenzie set out to find help. He ran all the way home and says the rest of the kids that are still alive are up under a tree. He says they're just there by themselves. Reporter: Hundreds lined up to mourn the devastating loss. Devin, there in the maroon shirt once again lending a hand helping his relatives one last time. And survivor kylie shot in the foot rescued with baby brother Dixon walking in crutches as the family gathered to say their final good-byes. Now, at the funeral service one of the sons of dawnaa Langford eulogized her. He prayed they could save her but seven other miracles happened alluding to his brothers and sisters who survived this brutal attack. Thank you. We will town to that plane
