Reporter: Eva, this case is just puzzling. Heidi Broussard's family hasn't seen her or her newborn daughter in days. Her fiance tells us she took her son to school one day and then vanished. The morning -- this morning, police in Austin, Texas are desperately searching for clues in the mysterious disappearance of a mother and her 2-week-old daughter. 33-year-old Heidi Broussard and her newborn baby girl Margot Carey have been missing since Thursday. She would never disappear. She's an amazing mom. We have a 6-year-old son named beautiful kid. She would never leave him. Reporter: According to police, Broussard was last seen dropping off her young son at school. This is her in a surveillance picture from that morning inside the building, but she never showed up to pick him up after school. Police believe Broussard and the baby went home after the dropoff to this apartment complex, but have not been heard of or seen since. Shane Carey, Broussard's fiance and father to Margot says he doesn't know anyone who may want to hurt them. He says he found their home intact. There is nothing valuable her purse and her wallet and everything was up here. Her cell phone is missing. It's been turned off. Reporter: Investigators combing the area for clues. Police choppers hovering overhead as Broussard's family waits for answers. I just want her home safe. It doesn't have to be here. Just drop her off somewhere safe. Heidi's family is devastated and they say they just want her and the baby back safely. At this point, police have no trace of them. Her house was intact. The only thing that was missing was her cell phone, but as you heard from the fiance, it's been off for days. They're just hoping for the best at this point. As are we.
