Transcript for Small shark knocks boy off his surfboard
Okay. We have video of a 9-year-old boy's close encounter with a surf knocked from a surfboard but didn't realize what sent him Paula Faris has that. Good morning. He actually continued to surf for another 30 minutes. He thought it was just a large fish that knocked him off his board and it wasn't until he and his father looked at the gopro video afterwards they realized it was indeed a shark. Watch as 7-year-old Chandler shreds waves at a Florida beach with his dad when a shark jumps out of the wear and over his board sending him flailing into the water. But Chandler didn't even realize what caused him to fall. I was just assuming that push was a fish but when we got back into the video, it was a shark. At first we were kind of shocked and surprised and we kind of had a little laugh and then it kind of set in that we got pretty lucky that he didn't get, you know, bit. You know, new smyrna is unfortunately known for its shark attack bites. Reporter: Earlier this year a 9-year-old girl was bitten in an apparent shark attack at that same Florida beach. A parent's worst nightmare but for the Moores it's just the name of the game. It's one day he says he doesn't want to surf anymore that's totally cool. I don't know. I don't think there's any stopping this kid right now. I'm going to go right out and get back into surfing. Chandler is getting right back out there. He's been surfing since he was 4 years old. When he found out it was a shark that knocked him out it didn't faze him one bit.
