Closing in on the new year, and the world travelers at natural geographic had your guide for must-see destinations all over the globe. Some of them may surprise you. Reporter: After exploring the farthest corners of our planet, "National geographic" is revealing their top 20 travel destinations for 2020. Our world is full of places that are not well known, and the idea is to get people to new places that aren't clogged with tourism, and so the tourists themselves can have a much better authentic experience, engaging with local people, and seeing the beautiful surroundings without tons of people taking selfies. Reporter: From the frozen forests to Japan, to the crystal clear water to Maldives, and the ocean. They will go to the Maldives first, and you're hanging out in those bungalows, and you can pa rp in reef replanting and reef these are underwater gardening activities essentially that help reconstruct and rebuild the coral reefs. Reporter: And one of the most stunning views on the planet, the megala don views in Canada. The mothers swim down to the arctic and give birth on the ice in the islands. These are in St. Lawrence in Quebec, and it is a spectacular experience to witness. Reporter: And in Egypt, a historic feat of human engineering, the breath-taking temple. All eyes will be on why I want this summer. This is a remarkable temple built by Ramseys II, and it creates a story of history and engineering and because it's so far from the crowds we're going to see, it makes a spectacular visit.
