This may be potentially good news for the people who can't stand hitting the gym but an interesting study they looked at children in Ecuador versus children in the uk and U.S. Through complicated means and tracked how many calories they burned and findings suggest in children there's a fixed amount of energy expenditure we can go through during the day. If you're targeting let's say childhood obesity it should be more about encouraging good eating practices more than physical activity although to be crystal clear we will always encourage physical activity in children and adults for a slew of other reasons. And what about adults? What could they do to manage their weight and be healthy. I think what's important is that in the adult world of obesity literature, it's been known for some time that the bulk of our weight management does come from what we eat, also not the calories woo he burn during physical activity. But the study data also suggests that that exercise is really more effective in preventing weight gain and maintaining a healthy weight more than it is helpful in having someone overweight or obese lose weight. Again, with adult, I will always encourage physical activity because it's important for our brain, our heart, our mood, et cetera, et cetera.
