inspiring young man. He beat odds that seem incalculable. And chiefing what seems to be impossible. Zach hoskins. He was born with a severe disability. I don't think he knew that. 17-year-old. Didn't let it stop him from becoming one of the best high school basketball players in the state of georgia. It's even more remarkable when you see him take the court. I sat down one-on-one with the very talented and inspirational young man. Reporter: Zach hoskins. Watch out. Reporter: You have to see it to believe it. And even then, you might not. High school baseball phenom zach hoskins is lights out from three-point range. The kid runs any court. But considering what he's overcome to be this good, that's just one hand. Born without the lower half of his left arm. It's funny to get into a new area, looking at you. Should we pick this kid up. Is he trying to play with us? Once I do and they get out there and start making a bunch of jumpers, they're all over me like wanting to be on their team. And it's fun to see their reactions. Reporter: Initially, his parents worried about zach. But that worry faded, almost immediately. He would crawl out of his crib. We could almost tell immediately, everything's going to be fine. This kid was awesome. He could do anything. Reporter: With creativity and commitment, he's done exactly that. Today, the 17-year-old sharp-shooter is among the top players in the state of georgia. I knew in my mind, I can make it. Minus the fact that my hand's missing. I just kept going hard every day. And I made it. Reporter: Do you think now, i wonder what it would be like to have two hands? I have thought that. But what kind of life would i live if I'm asking myself that every, single day. And you can't think about that. It's not a good way to live. Reporter: And zach is planning to go big-time, the youfrt of florida. One of the premiered programs in the country, just offered him preferred walk-on status for next year. It's a dream come true. People are saying, he'll never play. Let me tell you, a lot of people thought he would never play middle school. Or high school. He'll play at florida. And he will be successful. Reporter: So, I'm going to let you have that. I'm letting you have this. Naturally, I'm curious, to meet him face-to-face on the court. Puts me to shame in an instant. The game of h.O.R.S.E. Which might have been my redemption, was anything but. What have you parents meant to you? Everything. They've been right by my side. They never told me you can't play that sport or you can't do that. They told me, you can do whatever you want. Reporter: What do you hope people take away from zach's story? He has a huge heart. He just, he never gave up. And never gave up his dream. You can accomplish anything. You can overcome anything. It just takes work and desire and a lot of heart. A lot of heart. Zach and his parents were here visiting just recently. Yeah. They came up. Stephanie and bob with zach. To see the degree of love and faith that just weaves and binds that family, it's a wonderful time to spend. He is a great kid. A better human being than he is an athlete. And he's so good at basketball. I played h.O.R.S.E. Four or five games. That was the best shot we had of you. That was bad. We have a couple gators that are here. His dad said it and meant it. He's going to play as a gator. Great meeting you, zach. You get the feeling that
