Transcript for Trouble Brewing for Bud Light's 'Epic Party'
I love seeing Benjamin. To the backlash against bud light for that beer bash they're throwing in a small Colorado town. A lot of residents don't want a thousand contest winners partying all weekend. Clayton Sandell with the latest. Reporter: Forget the mountain, the history, the fresh air this morning, the Colorado town of crested butte is set to be the new star in a beer commercial. This amazing town will be overrun by a wave of humanity demanding to do this, this and a whole lot of this. I'm upset because I lost my political say-so. Reporter: It began as part of a super bowl ad campaign to bring in a thousand contest winners. Awesome! Reporter: For a giant beer fest and commercial shoot they say will look something like this. You and a friend experiencing three days of full-on whateverness. Reporter: Anheuser-busch promised to donate 250,000 to crested butte for the trouble but the idea of painting the town bud blue fell flatter than skunky beer. A beautiful pristine mountain town. Reporter: A heated town meeting on Monday lasted nearly nine hours ending in a stalemate. Shutting down the heart of our town to our families is inappropriate. Reporter: But overnight anheuser-busch doubled its donation to $500,000. And the town council voted a unanimous okay. Whatever usa. Reporter: While some are still fuming many in crested butte are making the most of it. This guy is having a lot of fun. Maybe too much. Too many bud lights. Reporter: For "Good morning America," Clayton Sandell, ABC news, Denver. Oh, my. Party on.
