There's a new treatment in town, it's called the inside out facial. Jackie Adams was a popular model in the 1980s, on "Vogue" andelle. But her years of outdoor sports like rock climbing exposed her face to wind and sun. Now with plans to return to acting, she's hoping to smooth out facial lines. I prefer to look good for my age rather than look another age. Reporter: Are you excited about your procedure? She turned to Dr. Christine lee, who helped pioneer a new treatment. It's like an inside out facelift. Here we go. Reporter: The procedure uses a laser that delivers targeted heat from inside the mouth. Dr. Lee says the goal is to tighten the soft tissue and produce a smooth effect on the skin's surface. In the mouth, causes immediate contracting, and makes the nasal folds along the sides of the mouth seem like they're plumping up. Reporter: But some doctors are not impressed, suggesting the patients may get better results from lasers used directly on the skin or less expensive treatments like fillers. The general consensus with laser therapies, that is best-accomplished from the outside in. Not the inside out. I think people should proceed with caution until we know more. Reporter: Dr. Lee said patients undergo several treatments, roughly $1500 a session and results can last for months.
