Dine Diana Haddad is a student at the university of Las Vegas. Tell us where you were when the shooting took place. I was in the vip section. What did you see? What did you hear? At first I heard what sounded like firecrackers. I'm not very experienced with guns. ground just duck and cover while half of the other group just ran in the opposite direction away from the strip. there was a lot offenses around. People were just doing whatever they could to escape. Yes. We were closest to the outside fence. So we made our way down there. Thankfully all of the officials there were trained to lead us in the right way. There were many leaders who rose from the group saying to push the fence down. So we all did and we kept running away from the strip as fast as we could. I know you were trying to -- as much as you were fearful for your life you were trying to help as many people as possible too? Yes. A lot of people were in a worse position than I was in the fact that they were of course emotional. They were crying hysterically. I remained more calm. So I just tried to comfort them as much as I could. As I was running I saw an older woman, probably as old as my grandma. I tried to help her as well.
