Now to the latest on the fatal shooting of an unarmed african-american man in Wisconsin. Demonstrators taking to the street and we're with the latest this morning. Good morning. Reporter: Good morning, robin. The home behind me is where that struggle played out between a police officer and Tony Robinson that ended up in the teen being shot multiple times. This community is demanding to know why he lost his life. What's his name? Tony Robinson. Reporter: Overnight a tribute to 19-year-old Tony Robinson. Following a third day of protests here in Madison. So many comparing him to Michael brown and Eric garner. Other unarmed black men killed by police. How do y'all sleep at night? Reporter: It started Friday night about 6:30. Police receiving at least three different complaints about a suspect matching Tony Robinson ice description fighting at a gas station and running through traffic. Outside, yelling and jumping in front of cars. Reporter: The veteran of the force Matt Kenny was the first to arrive. You can hear him on police radio reporting a disturbance inside. Kenny then forcing entry and moments later -- Shots fired, shots fired. Reporter: He fires multiple times. Police say defending himself from attack by Robinson. Though it's unclear if he knew the teen was unarmed. Robinson was on probation after pleading guilty to being party to an armed robbery last year, but the teen's friends and family say he was a gentle giant with plans to go to college. To die in such a violent way, it baffles me. Reporter: As for Kenny, he was involved in shooting another man to death in 2007 but exonerated. He's on paid administrative leave as the department investiga investigate. Last night's vigil was moving. So many of his friends in high school grieving and telling their stories.
