Transcript for Secret Mission Helps Free Americans Held in North Korea
We turn to the secret mission to free two Americans held prisoner in North Korea. Kenneth Bae and Matthew miller back on American soil. A release brokered by America's top spy. The president spoke this morning. We had indication there was the possibility of the release of these two hostages. Or prisoners. And, we pursued it. It did not touch on some of the broader issues that had been the source of primary concern when it comes to North Korea. It is in particular -- its development of nuclear xcapacity. This was a limited mission. Does the administration think there might be an opening with North Korea? In order for the U.S. To resume relations with north Korea, they have to dismantle their nuclear program. You do have a new young leader. Strong pressure over human rights. There is hope. But hope in the past hasn't gotten us very far. The announcement late Friday of the president doubling the number of troops in Iraq and ramping up the air strikes. Indeed. It could raise the troop level to about 3,000. Over the week end, reports from Iraq that the leader of Isis, Al baghdadi may have been killed or wounded in an air strike. He was not the target. They were aiming at a suspicious convoy. George, this also tells you something about the intelligence capability in Iraq. Days after the strike, they cannot say for certain whether he was wounded or not. Thank you, Martha Raddatz. Let's go to am Yi with the other top stories.
