Reporter: The Georgia sheriff's deputy seen and heard in this heartbreaking police body camera video is speaking his truth tonight. Yeah, she's a sweetheart. She's a sweetheart. Reporter: Saying that the newborn baby he discovered abandoned in a plastic grocery bag in suburban Atlanta is a living miracle. I wanted to give her comfort. A little bit later, I realized that it was the first time she had ever felt love and I felt honored to be able to give her that. Reporter: It was a miracle, he says, that the family who lives nearby came home at the right time and came back outside, thinking they heard what sounded like a baby.
